Course Overview
This course will develop your ability to speak, listen, read and write in
everyday contexts. You will be able to handle most situations likely to
arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken. The course
is interactive and topics based on everyday life and current issues. You
will also develop your use of regular and irregular verbs, use past and
future tenses and express opinions.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements
You will have completed French Pre-Intermediate Parts 1 and 2, have studied
French for approximately 100 hours or more or be between Level A1 and A2 of the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

There is no examination with this course.

A tutor conducted initial assessment will be followed by on-going assessment of progress and achievement.

Your tutor will give you continuous feedback on your oral and written work as well as suggestions for improvement. You will have an individual learning plan to monitor your own progress. The tutor will keep a record of your work and performance and discuss this with you.

You will gain more from the course if you commit study time to it outside the weekly online sessions.

We expect you to attend all classes, be on time and complete any homework given by your tutor. In general, we will not allow late entry to any course after the first two weeks. In all cases the full fee will be charged. You can discuss issues with your tutor or the Assistant Programme Manager at any time during the course.
