Course Overview
On our Digital Photography- Intermediate course you will build on skills
learnt on the Basic Digital Photography course. You will be learning how
to work with: raw images, use your on camera flash, be able to set up
studio flash lighting equipment, explore different lighting types, and
develop an appreciation of composition in photographic images from a
diverse range of sources.

meaningful images with perspectives from a diverse range of sources.

See light from a range of different types of lighting sources, enabling you
to work effectively with these (light sources) to make compelling photographs.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements
Ideally you will have attended the Get to Know your Digital Camera and
the Basic Digital Photography course at Idea Store Learning. You will need
to have your own digital camera that has manual controls and be able to
operate it using those manual controls.

Digital Camera, Pen & notepaper diary or log book to record own progress
and make notes during theory sessions and practical demonstrations.

Idea Store Learning photography department recommends that you will
have developed the skills that would enable you to attend any of the
following courses: Photography Workshop, Portrait and Promotional Film Making
or other photography courses.

What examination is there?

What examination is there?
There will be an initial assessment, followed by on-going assessment of progress and
achievement. This course will also include: showing/presentation of your photographs to
fellow students. Discussion of photographic images using appropriate photographic
terminology. Ongoing tutor assessment of your photographic knowledge and skills.

How will I know I am making progress?

How will I know I am making progress?
Your tutor will give you on-going feedback tracking and monitoring your progress, giving feedback
though out the course. You and the tutor will use an individual learning plan to monitor your
progress allowing you and the tutor to track your knowledge and skills developed on the course.
You will also gain more from the course if you commit time to it outside the classroom.
