In this course you will get some ideas on how you could support your child’s learning while simply having fun with them and brushing up your own skills.
You will be introduced to maths games and activities and will also get a chance to speak to the tutor about how you could best support your child.

You could continue on a higher level Family Maths course or a Next Steps to Functional Maths course at Idea Stores. You could also consider doing Family Literacy or Functional English, or move on to a higher level course of study in other areas.

You will be assessed on your existing maths skills when you start the course, and then again when you finish the course. This is to give you a good idea about what you are already good at, and which areas you need to work on.
