Course Overview

Course Overview
Through investigation of personal and collective histories, this workshop will help you to develop the creative, sculptural and decorative possibilities of ceramics to create objects inspired by individual, family and community histories, memory and the act of commemoration.
On this course you will have the opportunity to develop clay hand building and surface decoration techniques. You will explore the creative possibilities of clay concentrating on building and assembling techniques and learn how to use a variety of decorative techniques such to apply texture and pattern.

Please note: Work produced on this day will be available for collection on Tuesday 21st November, 2:00-4:00pm. Work cannot be retained after this date.

At the beginning of the course an initial assessment takes place to identify your level of experience knowledge or current skills you will add to this at the end of the course.
The tutor will carry out informal assessments to check your understanding, there is no exam or test.
