This is a year-long course divided into four 9 week parts. You can join at the start of any part.
This Entry 3 ESOL course helps you develop stronger skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing for everyday life, learning, and work. You will practise more detailed conversations, improve your writing for different purposes, and learn how to understand longer texts and recordings. The course supports your communication in the workplace, in your local community, and in formal settings like healthcare, education, and employment.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Take part in longer conversations, including making complaints, giving advice, and expressing opinions
• Write structured emails and letters for formal and informal situations
• Listen for main points and detail in announcements and work-related conversations
• Understand and respond to written information from schools, doctors, and the job centre
• Fill in more complex forms, including online applications and work documents
• Communicate confidently in job-related settings, such as interviews or team meetings
• Prepare for employment, volunteering, or further learning
