On the course you will explore monotype, dry point, linocut, woodcut, collagraph, photopolymer etching, learning how to create prints on paper or fabric. You will work from drawing or simple source material such as photography, developing your ideas and translating them into prints.
The focus is on learning through doing, experimentation, and shared studio experience. You will work alongside others in a supportive environment, where discussion and making together help build a sense of community, confidence and wellbeing.
You will learn how to work and experiment with different materials and tools using the studio, printmaking presses and other equipment safely, while exploring how printmaking connects to art history, different cultures, and contemporary creative practice.
