Course Overview

Course Overview
“Start your ballet journey, no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to move.”

This introductory course is designed to gently welcome you into the world of ballet, whether you have never danced before or are returning after a long break. You will begin by developing an awareness of posture, alignment, and how your body moves, helping you to feel more confident and comfortable in class. You will learn the basic positions of the feet and arms and become familiar with simple ballet vocabulary, giving you a strong foundation for future learning.

Classes will introduce you to essential barre exercises such as pliés and tendus, allowing you to build strength and coordination while working at a steady and supportive pace. You will also begin exploring simple movements in the centre of the room, focusing on balance, timing, and moving to music. Throughout the course, there is an emphasis on enjoyment and confidence-building, helping you feel at ease as part of a group while taking your first steps in ballet.
