Course Overview

Course Overview
“You know flamenco, now refine it, strengthen it, and speak it fluently.”
This course focuses on consolidating and extending core intermediate level technique. New learners joining this term are supported through structured technical work, while returning dancers refine speed, clarity and control.
The course develops footwork complexity, arm patterns, posture, skirt use and turns, while introducing and reinforcing flamenco technical vocabulary. Dancers work with live guitar to deepen understanding of rhythm, phrasing and musical structure. Historical and cross cultural context helps dancers connect technique to tradition and style.

To maximise your chances of benefiting from the course fully we expect you to attend all scheduled
sessions and that you do so punctually and are ready to start learning at the start of the class.
Please note that if you are more than 10 minutes late for a class you will not be allowed to
participate practically in the session. This is for your own safety as by missing the warm up you will
be risking an injury. Being late also disrupts the rest of the group.
