Course Overview

Course Overview
“No experience needed, just come and enjoy learning to move.”
This course is a friendly and supportive introduction to belly dance. Designed for complete beginners and those returning for a refresher, this course focuses on learning the essential building blocks of the style.
Learners explore basic hip and chest movements, posture, arm positions and simple transitions. Movement is taught step by step and brought together in short combinations set to music with different tempos. Learners are introduced to key belly dance terminology and gain insight into the cultural background of the dance, helping them understand both the technique and tradition behind the movements.
