Examples of personal tasks include:
- complete a form with accurate personal and factual information
- write an informal text (e.g. email or message) using correct grammar and punctuation
- write a formal text (e.g. complaint, workplace email or short report) using appropriate tone and structure
- plan and organise a piece of writing using paragraphs and linking language
- check and improve your writing using feedback and digital tools
Some tasks may include real-life activities (for example, writing emails or completing online forms).
You will keep your work in a folder. Your teacher will give you feedback to help you improve your accuracy, organisation and confidence.
You will complete the Ascentis Level 1 Writing assessment during the course in your classroom with your teacher.

Task 1: complete a form using accurate personal and factual information

Task 3: write a formal text (e.g. workplace email, complaint or short report) using appropriate tone, structure and layout
You will practise these tasks regularly in class so you feel confident and ready.
