Course Overview

Course Overview
This course is for ESOL learners at entry 3 who want to develop the English and employability skills needed to move into work or volunteering. You'll explore job opportunities, practise communicating in workplace situations, and build your confidence in applying for roles.
By the end of the course, you'll have a portfolio of work assessed against the Ascentis Skills for Employment award criteria, which you can use as evidence of your skills for employers and training providers.

* Describe the main rights and responsibilities of an employee, including what to do if you have a problem at work

How will you know you are making progress?
You'll build a portfolio of evidence throughout the course, which your tutor will assess against the Ascentis Skills for Employment criteria. You need to attend at least 80% of your classes.

One of our aims is to help you make progress in work or future studies. We also want to help you participate in your communities and become an active citizen. In our classes, you will develop important skills that employers value and that will help you in everyday life. Here’s what you will learn:
