Interested in working with young children? This course introduces you to the early education and childcare sector in English — the types of settings, the roles within them, and the language and communication skills you'll need to work confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
Part 1 focuses on building your sector knowledge and English skills together, so you feel prepared before moving into a real childcare setting in part 2.

ESOL level 1 or above. No previous experience of working with children is needed, though an interest in early education is essential.

How will you know you are making progress?

How will you know you are making progress?
Your tutor will give feedback on your placement reflections and observe your progress in the setting. You need to attend at least 80% of your classes and placement sessions.
