Course Overview

Course Overview
In this course, you'll tackle the advanced Excel skills that make you genuinely valuable in the workplace.
You'll learn to work with pivot tables, complex functions, and multi-sheet workbooks. You'll explore how to use Excel alongside AI tools to analyse trends, build dashboards, and present data in ways that help people make decisions. These are the skills that get you noticed at work - and they're increasingly the skills that separate someone stuck in the same role from someone who gets promoted.

What will you learn and be able to do?

What will you learn and be able to do?
* Use pivot tables to summarise and analyse large data sets so you can answer questions about your data in seconds instead of hours - such as taking a year's worth of sales transactions and instantly seeing totals by product, region, or month without manually adding anything up.
* Apply advanced functions to solve real problems so your spreadsheets can handle genuinely complex work - such as VLOOKUP to pull details from a database, COUNTIF to count orders from a particular area, or SUMIF to total only expenses in a specific category.
* Use AI tools to work with data more effectively so you can get insights faster and with more confidence - such as cleaning up messy data, spotting trends you hadn't noticed, getting chart recommendations, or generating summaries of what a data set is telling you.
* Use conditional formatting and data validation to keep spreadsheets reliable so the data stays clean and the key information stands out - such as highlighting overdue tasks in red automatically, or setting up dropdown menus so people can only choose from approved options.
* Present your data analysis clearly to others so your Excel skills translate into real influence at work - such as walking your team through a dashboard, explaining what the charts show and what decisions the data supports, or importing data from external CSV files to build a complete picture.
