Course Overview

You will continue to cover basic language tasks in reading, writing, listening and speaking and learning new vocabulary.

What will you learn and be able to do?

* Use present and past tense for regular verbs;

* Describe accommodation (house, flat, rooms and basic furniture);

* Describe weather and seasons;

* Talk about hobbies and holidays;

* Talk about festivals in Arabic speaking countries and compare to your culture.

Entry requirements

You will have attended Arabic Beginners Part 1 or have studied Arabic for approximately 20 hours. See Course Outline for Part 1 to see skills expected.

Equipment required

You will need to bring your enrolment slip to the first session as well as a notebook and pen.

How will you know you are making progress?

Your tutor will give you continuous feedback on your oral and written work as well as suggestions for improvement. You will have an individual learning plan to monitor your own progress.
The tutor will keep a record of your work and performance and discuss this with you.
You will gain more from the course if you commit study time to it outside the classroom.

There is no examination with this course.

We expect you to attend all classes, be on time and complete any homework given by your tutor. In general, we will not allow late entry to any course after the first two weeks. In all cases the full fee will be charged.
