This uses gentle, fitness focused Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises that can be practised safely in a small space, such as at home. The emphasis is on improving functional fitness through more continuous and flowing movement patterns. Learners develop greater postural strength, coordination, and balance while moving for longer periods, supporting cardiovascular endurance and physical confidence.
Sessions focus on using breath and controlled transitions to improve movement efficiency, reduce stiffness, and maintain stability, with exercises adaptable for both seated and standing practice. Learners are encouraged to notice improvements in balance, stamina, and coordination that support everyday activities such as walking, standing, and changing direction.
Key fitness skills posture, strength, balance, coordination, and safe movement, are revisited and progressively developed through new movement combinations and challenges. This supports continued physical improvement, even for learners repeating the same level.
