You will plan, make and refine your work over time, focusing on how your ideas translate into finished outcomes. The course encourages you to take control of your direction, while building the skills and confidence to prepare your work for exhibition, small-scale sales, further study or the world of work.
You will test ideas, improve your technical skills and respond to feedback through group discussion and critique. You will also explore how other artists work, helping you reflect on your own approach and direction.
This course forms part of a progression pathway, allowing you to return in Terms B and C to continue developing your work through new themes, formats or projects.
Please note: This is not a production course for large batches of work. Materials and kiln use are shared and limited.
