You will continue working with press techniques such as monoprint, relief (linocut and woodcut) and drypoint, using layering, colour, and repetition to develop more complex outcomes. Alternatively, if you have previously taken one of our screen printing courses you may choose to focus on this method and develop your skills, printing onto paper or fabric.
Through cycles of testing, reflection, and adjustment, you will begin to identify which approaches best support your ideas.
The focus is on repetition and variation, helping you move from open experimentation towards more intentional and developed work. You will continue to explore mixed media approaches, combining print with drawing, collage, and painting.
Regular group discussion and critique will support your progress, helping you reflect on your decisions and refine your work. You will begin to recognise strengths in your work and develop greater confidence in your choices.
By the end of the course, you will have developed a series of related experimental prints, showing clear progression from testing to refinement.
