Course Overview
In this final stage of the pre-intermediate level, you will develop greater fluency and flexibility in French. You’ll discuss current affairs, media, and lifestyle topics, and learn to create more complex sentences using connectives and conditional (“if”) structures. The course focuses on expressing opinions clearly, engaging in discussions, and communicating confidently in a wide variety of real-world situations.

* Communicate about well-being and healthy lifestyles using appropriate vocabulary and structures.
* Construct more complex sentences using connectives (e.g. parce que, cependant, donc).
* Use present, past, and future tenses, including simple “si” clauses, in conversation and writing.
* Demonstrate understanding of cultural differences and similarities across French-speaking countries.

You will have completed French Pre-Intermediate Parts 1 and 2, or have studied French for approximately 100 hours or more or be between Level A1 and A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

How will you know you are making progress?
Your tutor will give you continuous feedback on your oral and written work as well as suggestions for improvement. You will have an individual learning plan to monitor your own progress. The tutor will keep a record of your work and performance and discuss this with you.

You will gain more from the course if you commit study time to it outside the weekly online sessions.

We expect you to attend all classes, be on time and complete any homework given by your tutor. In general, we will not allow late entry to any course after the first two weeks. In all cases the full fee will be charged.
