“Bring your dancing to life, perform with confidence, expression, and presence.”
This course is designed for learners with prior experience of contemporary dance who want to develop performance skills and prepare for end‑of‑year shows. The course focuses on transitioning from studio practice to stage presentation, supporting learners to gain confidence, clarity, and commitment when sharing work with an audience.
Learners will take part in technique classes, creative tasks, and rehearsal sessions that support stamina, control, spatial awareness, and performance quality. Emphasis will be placed on learning and refining the choreography for the shows.
Learners will explore performance skills such as focus, musical timing, use of space, awareness of others, and projection; to prepare learners to dance confidently in group formations and adapt material for the performances.
Even though performing is not compulsory you will be expected to learn the dance. ONLY students performing will be asked to attend extra practice time.
