This course helps you talk about your life and where you are from.
You will use simple English to talk about your country, your past, and your experiences. You will also practise reading, writing, speaking and listening in simple everyday situations.
These skills will help you talk about yourself and share your experiences with other people.

This is for learners working towards pre-entry (beginner) level.
You can talk about yourself and understand simple English in class.

Please bring to every lesson:
• A folder
• Pens & pencils
• Lined A4 paper
• A smartphone (if you have one)
• A reusable water bottle
We will give you WiFi in your first lesson.
If you do not have a phone or computer, talk to your teacher.
You will need a Gmail account. Your teacher can help you set this up.

How will you know you are making progress?
From the start of the course, your teacher will talk to you about what you can do.
You will complete simple tasks from an Ascentis Pre-Entry workbook to show your progress.
Examples:
• say where you are from
• answer simple questions about yourself
• write a few sentences about your life
Your teacher will help you and give feedback.
At the end, you will talk about what you can do now.
You need to come to 80% of classes.
