Course Overview
This course is for ESOL learners at entry 2 who want to build the English skills and confidence they need to move towards work. You'll learn about job searching, workplace communication, working with others, and your rights and responsibilities as an employee — all through real-life activities and discussions.
By the end of the course, you'll have a portfolio of work assessed against the Ascentis Skills for Employment award criteria, showing employers and training providers the skills you've built.

You'll build a portfolio of evidence throughout the course, which your tutor will assess against the Ascentis Skills for Employment criteria. You need to attend at least 80% of your classes.
