Building on part 1, this course takes you closer to applying for a real NHS or council admin role. You'll strengthen your office skills, focus on the specific IT skills test used in NHS recruitment (run through Barts Health's Community Works programme), and complete a full, ready-to-send application.
The course is designed as a direct pathway towards Barts Health's Community Works programme and Tower Hamlets Council admin opportunities, with named contacts and real next steps.

You should be able to communicate in English at ESOL level 1 or above, and be working towards level 2 digital skills before starting this course.

Folder, pens and pencils, lined A4 paper, a smartphone (if you have one), a reusable water bottle, and comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes for depot sessions.

How will you know you are making progress?
Your tutor will give you regular feedback on your office tasks and application materials, and you'll build a portfolio of completed work. You need to attend at least 80% of your classes.
