Course Overview
Interested in office and admin work in the NHS or Tower Hamlets Council? In part 1, you'll build the core digital and admin skills employers look for — using Word and Excel for everyday office tasks, managing emails and calendars, and understanding what admin roles in the NHS and council actually involve.
You'll also start preparing your application: working on your CV, exploring real vacancies, and learning what the recruitment process for these roles looks like, including the IT skills test many admin roles require.

You should be able to communicate in English at ESOL level 1 or above, and be working towards level 2 digital skills before starting this course.

Folder, pens and pencils, lined A4 paper, a smartphone (if you have one), a reusable water bottle, and comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes for depot sessions.

How will you know you are making progress?

How will you know you are making progress?
Your tutor will give you regular feedback on your office tasks and application materials, and you'll build a portfolio of completed work. You need to attend at least 80% of your classes.
