Course Overview

Course Overview
Have you got a business idea? Or are you already running a small business and want more customers? This evening course teaches you the digital marketing skills you need to promote a business online. Held at Idea Store Whitechapel on Thursday evenings.

What will you learn and be able to do?

What will you learn and be able to do?
* Create a social media presence for your business so potential customers can find you and see what you do - such as setting up an Instagram business account for a cake-making business, or a Facebook page for a community project.
* Write social media posts that people want to read and share so your content attracts attention instead of getting scrolled past - such as telling the story behind a product, asking followers a question, or creating a call-to-action that encourages people to message you.
* Take and edit photos and short videos on your phone for marketing so you can produce eye-catching content without expensive equipment - such as photographing products in good lighting, filming a behind-the-scenes clip, or editing a video.
* Develop a recognisable brand identity so people remember you and trust what you're selling - such as choosing colours, fonts, and a tone of voice that make your business distinctive, and understanding why consistency matters across everything you post.
* Use analytics and AI tools to work smarter so you can make data-driven decisions and keep your marketing active even when you're busy - such as checking Instagram Insights to see which posts got the most engagement, or using ChatGPT to brainstorm content ideas and plan a week's posts.
