Course Overview

Course Overview
Most workplaces expect you to use Microsoft Office - but using it well is what makes the difference.
This course teaches you to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a professional standard. You'll create documents, spreadsheets and presentations that look polished and do the job properly. Whether you're applying for office roles, already in work, or want to be more productive, these are the skills employers ask for most.

What will you learn and be able to do?

What will you learn and be able to do?
* Create professional documents in Word so your written work looks like it belongs in a professional setting - such as writing a formatted report for your manager, producing a letter with your company's address and a proper sign-off, or making a meeting agenda with clear headings and bullet points.
* Build spreadsheets in Excel that do useful calculations so you can handle numbers at work - such as creating a staff rota that totals everyone's hours automatically, a sales tracker that works out percentages, or an expenses sheet that calculates what you're owed.
* Create a clear, effective PowerPoint presentation so you can present information confidently and professionally - such as putting together slides for a team meeting, a short pitch for a business idea, or a training session for colleagues.
* Use Outlook to manage your professional communications so you stay organised and responsive at work - such as sending a clear email to a client, adding a meeting to your calendar, and setting a reminder for a deadline.
