Course Overview

Course Overview
Part 2 of create your own salwar kameez is a 6-week course for those who have completed part 1 or have some experience in sewing.  In part 1 you learnt how to cut and make a kameez.  Part 2 will develop your existing skills towards cutting and sewing a salwar to your own measurements and using a commercial pattern.  You will learn how to read instructions from commercial patterns and follow diagrams, apply volume through tucks, and gathers, insert elastic and how to apply decorative trims, by machine, on to your garment for a fully finished look.  By the end of the course, you would have created a complete wearable outfit and expanded your existing sewing skills, enabling you to take on more challenging projects and further studies.
